I use it to buy things. I prefer a fast fungible and inexpensive currency over a slow expensive and traceable "currency"

     Here's an anecdotal example. I pay for hosting using xmr. The time it takes me to switch from my wallet to the browser after submitting the transaction is usually long enough for them to see the payment and consider the invoice fulfilled. It still takes a minute or 2 for the transaction to be written to the chain and receive it's first confirmation, but generally speaking they consider the payment to be complete as soon as they can see the transaction.

My last transaction by the time it was completed was actually cheaper than if I had paid the bill in it's fiat denomination even if you include the fees.
