     Not only do you have to get appliances for the right hz but electronics have 100v 50/60 psus

     @crunklord420 That's the fun part, they do in fact fry their electronics a lot, especially people moving to Japan and not knowing about it, ordering appliances online, or bringing shit from home to a 50hz part of Japan (Tokyo is notably like this, while say Osaka is 60hz). You will find so many reddit posts about foreigners especially blowing up appliances, and it's not uncommon to have to sell your appliances when you move to different parts of Japan. Even clocks run at the "wrong speed" since they tell time via the hz.
     
     Laptops, PCs, TVs, and whatnot on the other hand have dual hz power supplies, and the same goes with shit that runs off a "wall wart".
