@arstechnica If the only evidence we have that the implant happened is Musk's tweet, I'd say it's at best 50-50 that it's true.
Also, PRIME stands for "Precise Robotically Implanted brain-coMputer intErface"? Can someone explain the concept behind acronyms to him?

@arstechnica They still haven't solved the problem with scar tissue buildup. I really don't see soft-electrodes working out without a completely different approach to neural interfaces. All these methods still don't have a long-term expectancy and it's honestly immoral to subject people to it unless absolutely necessary.
Sometime back I read about successful gene therapy for making neurons photo-receptive and interfacing that way. That seems much more humane.
