@branman65 I generally find that the Soviets after Lenin, particularly during WW2 to the end of the Soviet Union itself, were quite good people. They're basically the inheritors of the Russian empire. The empire without its traditions.
You could say that Stalin was the Red Czar itself. It was glorious, evenly matched by the Americans at that point. Sure there's some criticism to be made like the support of Atheism and general disdain for other historical stuff.
@branman65 he saved Russia from terrors of Communism. As for his hands on atrocities committed to the Europeans in the war, I can only say that it's a war you can't avoid stuff like that. There's something he could've done better, yeah, but pretty much everyone can be accused of this. I'm quite sure he didn't order Russians to rape and pillage.
@branman65 wow why are you even seething like that, don't you have any counter-argument at least? I know you're American but I didn't know you would be this retarded.
@MK2boogaloo@branman65 Stalin also believed plant genetics were racist and allowed famines as a result. Any scientist who tried to contradict his beliefs were spirited away. History isn’t quite sure what happened to them, but they were probably tortured and killed.
Fuck communists I hope they are all set alight by flamethrowers.
@MK2boogaloo@branman65 >literally just existed and ruled over the soviet union >slightly less than a century later americans still seethe en masse at the very notion of him being anything but literally hitler for nutsocks
@MK2boogaloo@branman65 People who want all property to be public goods and who want to distribute goods from certain groups to others based on their perceived common good. Or some degree thereof, with some exceptions for things like government buildings (though I am becoming more and more convinced government in any form is garbage).
This is surface level. I don’t really feel like doing a deep dive.
For a good example, just look at a country like China, or google marxist-leninist, frankfort school, or any other keyword commonly associated with communism.
I would post the dictionary definition but it’s obviously been edited by communists because it leaves out any negatives.
@MK2boogaloo@branman65 People without their traditions are nothing, it is of no consolation that they didn't took more before leaving. Would you defend your torturers if they only cut off your legs but left your arms alone? Nonsense.
The long lasting impact of the soviets is a tragedy containing thousands of years of customs lost at the hand of Jewish lead ideology, not just in Russia but also in all the places under their occupation, specially the lesser nations, whose traditions have been irreparably lost.
The island Sakhalin is a perfect example of this, we all know what became of the Japanese after the empire fell and there's still much to cherished. But what if it wasn't just dismantled but also occupied by the soviets? What was once a proud people, capable of projecting themselves into the stars, were reduced to drones, without origin, without destination, living merely because the state doesn't think they should die. There's no life left in them. They are the Soviet ideal

Yet Stalin only saved the remaining of Russian tradition left after the establishment of the Union. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't get Russia that still remembers her culture to this day.

It must be made clear that there's a significant difference between Stalin and Lenin. The former kept most of them alive, the latter tried to kill it. It must be also noted that after the revolution, all Communist country reformed itself into a Fascist-esque nation, they even revived their tradition.

This is a certain case of wishful thinking. I believe the case of Sakhalin and Koenigsburg caused by mismanagement in Soviet governance, which happen to every other nation.
