Why on earth do websites add their own smooth scrolling code?! I hate this crap so much. The browser should be able to forbid that sort of thing from happening

@narada like literally your browser *can* prevent that from happening. That's its default state. Stop allowing the websites to overwrite your scrolling.

@Zerglingman If there's a way to do that in Microsoft Edge (O have to use it for work), I haven't been able to find it. I can disable smooth scrolling in the flags, but even disabling JavaScript on these sites doesn't stop them from doing it

@kirby It's called scroll jacking. Most websites don't do it, but every now and again I find a site that forces my desktop to act like I'm scrolling up and down on a smartphone or something
