@MoeBritannica the company behind sif is fucking retarded. They had a solid player base with the first game and then just expected everyone to migrate over, and then 2 didn't do as well so now they're shutting down while still making the global version launch.
@mischievoustomato@Kyonko802@MoeBritannica SIF was kill. I don't even pay money and I had about 3 quadrillions UR. Along the 10 years they got increasingly generous, as they should, but 10 years is a crazy lifespan for a mobile game and there was no way it wouldn't succumb due to everyone having a ridiculous amount of shit already. A reset was inevitable, but the issue is that SIF2 is not a crazy update. The new Bang Dream update kinda mogs it in a lot of ways
So basically: -SIF1 was 10 years running, it became too generous and everyone had a billions UR, it needed a reset
-They also had SIFAS running, which is more of an RPG disguised as a rhythm game. It had 3D lives that were amazing, you can use any characters, any of their unlocked costumes and put them in any character position in any songs. Also first LL media where the groups actually interacted with each others, so µ's, Aqours and Nijigasaki and the main story centered around Nijigasaki actually was not all fluff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bexYVQoLfiA
-They never added Liella! in SIFAS
-Both games had an awful catch up period to the Japanese server. SIF1 outright just skipped forward in time. SIFAS was double speed
-They closed both games at the same time for SIF2
-SIF2 is a reset and big interface update... But it's lacking, it's just not "new" enough. They couldn't change the gameplay because that meant throwing out over 2000 beatmaps across like 600 songs. But it's just lacking. No 3D songs, no 3D models, same fluffy stories from SIF1 that doesn't advance shit, etc.
-SIF2 made once again the mistake of not launching with an English version, so we had to wait a ridiculous 8 or so months to finally get the launch date and now it's closing, durr
