TIL: putting NVMe drive into PCIe-to-PCI bridge results in interrupt timeouts when trying to boot off it.
- † top dog :pedomustdie: likes this.

GT610 I ordered doesn't work in said bridge, either, freezing the whole system before it boots.
-
@mint Is it the bridge?
-
Sometimes bios just doesn't support it btw
Had that problem with a Lenovo think center once

@tyler It works when I connect it to PCIe directly, I just swapped it around as a part of troubleshooting process. And it does get to bootloader when in the bridge, but times out in initrd when trying to find and mount boot.

@dcc Yeah, right now I unplugged the other passthrough GPU and connected this one into the free slot and it is being detected just fine.

Looks like it can't output image to my CRT while HD6450 could. It's behind an extension cable, so maybe it just isn't outputting enough watts or something. It does at least have a heatsink with working cooler which I swapped around. Probably won't bother with it anymore, at least until I find yet another adapter that could be used to get access to proper obstructed PCIe slot.
