I was just chiding someone on fedi recently about we can’t even keep the shipping lanes open, so don’t ask for military intervention right now. The US can’t afford to lose another land war this year, and if they can’t clear one of the three major shipping lanes then that’s it. The end of US as a super power. I’m sorry them’s the rules.
