Going down memory lane. Man, I love Mario Galaxy so much. Rosalina's story, the beauty and emptiness of space...
It's a strangely introspective game... and a beautiful one, too...

@Cayhr oddly enough I've never gotten around to playing it even though I know I'll like it

@LolikingSama As a game it's obviously not perfect, but Mario Galaxy 1 holds a very, very special place in my heart. Even more so now that I'm older, I understand Rosalina's story. The game is surprisingly melancholic, and I often look at Mario Galaxy as something a lot more than just a Mario game. It's a story on the human condition about family.
...and even more ironic too since it's about the main Luma trying to find his "mama." My mother actually yelled at me a lot for playing the game too much, but... in hindsight, this game is a very important memory with my mother, who I love very much. So it's kinda emotional to me.
Nowadays we know Nintendo as a pretty brutally relentless corpo, but... I like to look at Mario Galaxy as a special gift by Koizumi and Miyamoto, and not a Nintendo product. It's also a literally ground breaking game, as I don't know of any games as of late that change the main character's normal vector as much as Mario Galaxy did.
