I know a few examples of soundtracks that do have statement and were also done to promote the game… But I know even purer form — elevator music! That one definitely doesn't have any statement at all and wasn't made to sell anything 😂

I have it on CD that came with deluxe edition of the game and I sometimes listen to it even though I haven't played the game in years. I think Darren Korb did an impressive job with it and with Bastion soundtrack too. I presume both of their later games have good OSTs too, but I'm yet to play them.New Janny in Town likes this.
