@gsuberland I would hope it wouldn't be! this is a pretty new laptop, made sometime this year
@foone on the die? that seems entirely possible if your paste is drying up.

I have on my desk in front of me, three powerful computers (not counting the phones and the 386s). all three of them cannot handle running hashcat without crashing because of thermal problems
maybe I'll borrow @gewt's 160-core POWER server. that thing can probably crack some serious hashes
