     @djsumdog @Dan_Ramos They also called back to it in a later episode, when Nog was studying Earth history and commented how much pictures of the guy looked just like Captain Sisko, and Quark waved it off with "all those hoomans look alike to me".

     Didn't Sisko accidentally get the actual hero killed and have to take his place to continue the timeline? (which begs the question, how could they tell back in the future he replaced the guy? .. it would have been him all along from their perspective)
