Mr.NutterButter (mr_nutterbutter@gameliberty.club)'s status on Tuesday, 23-Jan-2024 12:11:37 JST Mr.NutterButter @coolboymew it seems like a lot of games studios especially big developers or holding off until the next generation of consoles. Or at least delaying their games for the possibility of a new console generation.

cool_boy_mew (coolboymew@shitposter.club)'s status on Tuesday, 23-Jan-2024 12:19:09 JST cool_boy_mew @Mr_NutterButter This has the potential to be nuts for Nintendo. Historically, most of their launches has sucked ass for the past 5+ handhelds and consoles, because of them were the 3rd parties being smug again after the N64 and GC and then getting caught with their pants down (and western devs utterly ignoring portables after the GBA and DS)
Sony fucking up so hard with the Vita on top of their censorship shit, and now also utterly failing in Japan, Nintendo has now the rare 3rd party Nintendo exclusive, the Nintendo portable devs, Nintendo's own input on a single system now and the Vita devs all together in one package
The Switch has been nuts in that a lot of dumbass devs have started turning around. Freaking Falcom was looking to support the Stadia over Nintendo at some point and they've now been thinking of making it their main platform. Freaking NiS, which used to suck Sony's dick, has been releasing Disgaea first on Nintendo and etc. Atlus took fucking forever, but if they're there at launch, man
The Xbox (I don't even know wtf it's called anymore man) and PS5 launch sucked ass, but with Nintendo obviously preparing for the Switch 2 with their last 2 directs mostly being ports and remakes that they can have their partners do the bulk of the work and smaller games, they're clearly concentrating on Switch 2 games
The Switch 2 launch, launch window and first year could legitimately be insane. If the 3rd parties have their ports ready, the usual weird launch games and Nintendo are ready to launch some serious games, this could be bonkers and could legit put the other two in a grave -
