     Are you shocked? The people into capeshit movies don't even read the comics, I mean you could say the same thing about reading books too these days but with the comics it's not like anyone can go "oh the book is better" because the source material is a clusterfuck, they take the "best" parts and make a movie out of it or an original story, or in the case of the Joker movie just use it as a backdrop.
