   I wanted to create this space to establish a small oasis of positivity. Everywhere you look these days, you see nervousness, impatience, intolerance, and often unwarranted cruelty. Hate and negativity seem to be the release valves for people's frustrations. But hurting others doesn't improve our own condition. So here, I want to smile and share smiles, positivity.
   
   Reading the posts from the people I follow, I'm seeing beautiful places, amazing animals, and a general sense of well-being. I used to be a part of some larger instances, but their timelines were always filled with hatred or controversy. Large instances are like big apartment buildings: you have a lot of people around, but you can't choose your neighbors (too much). Here, I have my little home. Modest, but I can choose friends and neighbors. And that means a lot to me.
