Nazo (nazokiyoubinbou@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 18-Jan-2024 20:09:14 JST Nazo @itsfoss The problem is Steam -- or more specifically Proton (which you're likely using with Steam in most cases) -- has a load of dependencies and such. The advantage of the Snap version is it can be essentially sandboxed all together and not clash with everything else. I tried both ways and it really was exponentially easier to deal with it with Snap. At least in a setup where you also have other games and things outside of Steam.
Would be nice if the mainline itself could sandbox more.
