alright chapter 5 is over
AND I DO HAVE THINGS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT :zt_scream:

first and foremost let's talk about the main characters.
most of the protags are fine and have really strong archetypes

fuji: strong cutthroat warrior that also serves as straight man

pirilika: stupidly naive otaku

yeyasu: retard with a god complex

higan: muscle head woman

all of these are fine, serviceable. only one that seems to have some level of depth is fuji and pirilika, the other 2 are there more for comedic purposes so far but at least all of them still feel consistent

but then there's ceefore(c4) who i just don't get, she doesn't have any real strong characteristics and feels severely undercooked.

when she's first introduced she seems like she's gonna be the cheeky/devious type with a bit of insanity sprinkled on top but then you get to chapter 3 and she does a 180 talking about friends and helping people and it feels so goddamn jarring but at the time i didn't mind it since it happened so fast.

she doesn't get any progress in chapter 4 but for some reason chapter 5 focuses on her and how she values the rest of the party as close friends when there's been 0 development with them you know it's a sad case of telling instead of showing.

her first change felt so out of place and rushed and it somehow sticks out a lot worse in chapter 5

but thats just one of the issues, the other one is that after her change she doesn't really have any strong characteristics to them, she's more like a ghost that you forget about if she's not on screen.

there's some stuff about her having amnesia but so far there hasn't been anything interesting in that regard and i kinda doubt there will be
