I'm calibrating an Insertion Loss / Return Loss test station, which uses Tunable Laser Sources, one of which is quite finicky and doesn't like to play nice.
@aj @bquirky thanks for the clarification, but I'm still fucking lost. Good luck I hope you make it home soon. If you want to talk about putting gaff tape on a pipe, I'm your guy.
@aj @bquirky what in the nerd talk of tarnation? Be dumb sucks, I wish even had a clue what y'all speaketh of.
@aj thank god.. you might get to go home..
i know your doing comms stuff wich has diffrent requirements but ive got a lot of experiance with 1300nm swept source OCT lasers
and have found https://www.excelitas.com/product/high-speed-ss-oct-tunable-laser-engines very fast and stable
The station I'm calibrating also has a 1310 nm TLS (81600B), but it's always the 1550 that gives me problems.
Keysight doesn't even offer the 1550 in this form factor anymore, only the 81600 style, due to reliability.
It's customer owned equipment, so I'm stuck with what I've got.
No, Agilent/Keysight 81960A.
@aj is it a Ti saphire ?
