   @Johncdvorak listening to the show yesterday. WRT the plane, it's possible they had to fly around for an hour or so to burn fuel before landing because they weighed too much.

     @feld @Johncdvorak it's not atypical to burn fuel. I think generally it would be preferred they burn the fuel over dumping it as long as they weren't dealing with a failing engine or something more major. Who knows though

     @Johncdvorak the extra drag would I speed up the burn. As long as they don't need the pressure and everyone stays seated it poses no real risk other than wasting fuel.
