     @BowsacNoodle it's the wood itself. The room I have it in is basically all window and it faces south. I am surprised how quickly it changed. I think if I move the lamp that spot will catch up, but then the spot where I have the lamp now will need to catch up lol.

     @BowsacNoodle The lamp that's there right now is a placeholder, but the plan was to build a lamp that houses the electronics that control the lights in the bookcase.

     @BowsacNoodle I haven't but it's one of those things I want to try eventually. I hope to build a forge sometime soon to learn a little metal working so maybe once I have a bit of experience working the forge I will get around to it.

     @thatguyoverthere Forging is fun. My buddy built a brake drum forge, although it's a good bit of work to get it going. He told me propane is the way to go, or electric if you have the spare capacity on your mains.

     @BowsacNoodle yeah I think my first forge is going to be a pretty basic firebrick and propane setup. Eventually I'd like to set up something using charcoal but I think that getting that right takes a lot more skill and I don't necessarily want that getting in the way of getting into the craft at all.
