     @alex @p Yeah, it all spurred from a throwaway shitpost. Regardless, I'm still convinced putting metadata into the same field as user-defined post contents is a bad idea. But you do you.

     @alex @p A single link wouldn't hurt anyone. If I really wanted to get rid of it, I'd apply some heuristics, like checking whether there's an actual link to the same quoted post there.
