@arstechnica It really didn't make it clear to me how lack of syncing with a modern digital LCD/OLED screen could cause blurring supposedly. I've never seen an actual blur. Also, backlighting should be a constant (DC by definition!) LED on any screen modern enough to support gsync... It's at a rate of 1 or 0, not "60Hz" or whatever.
Otherwise this just sounds like nVidia's proprietary version of adaptive refreshing as in the more open FreeSync. Great, but closed never is good for a market.
