     @lonelyowl @a1ba it's a RJ22 wall connector and was used for analog telephone and internet modems back in the 90s. This is the first technology that brought internet to people's homes and you couldn't make calls while someone downloaded porn at 56 kbps LOL.

     I remember we have both shitty dial-up internet and a phone. My grandma loved to call her friends FOR HOURS at the evening, and due to this my uncle can't use his pc for a time. But i can't remember this kind of sockets on walls anywhere at our apartments. Maybe it was hidden behind of furniture or something
