   I just saw someone in a youtube video showing mobile phone gameplay with a CRT filter

   that hurts my brain. the only reason that'd ever exist is if I personally did it

     @MegaMichelle now that's a good idea. I've never successfully gotten a light pen to work, but if I ever do, it'd be great.

     although the idea of a smartphone with a (ball) mouse is HILARIOUS

     @funkylab nah. I would never even remotely touch RetroArch, and when I do CRT stuff, it's by using real CRTs. I don't need filters

     @foone Libretro with its RetroArch frontend (available on FDroid) has shader filters for that, and yes, Chrono Trigger feels nicer on the phone with it.

     @cody @MegaMichelle yeah, that's how I've done it.

     I just want to get the right adapters so I can get VGA-out and USB at the same time, and build a full PC out of a phone. mechanical keyboard, ball mouse, CRT display.

     Oh oops, I just realized you said "CRT filter". I thought you were talking about mobile phone gameplay displaying on an actual CRT.
