@noyoushutthefuckupdad @Moon @coldacid @coolboymew As someone who used to be into indie games of all kinds (including degenerate ones), and who also always hated having to take the disgusting with the interesting but forced myself to finish everything I played, I think it's best to know where you draw the line and just avoid anything that crosses it. I actually regret the time I have spent playing/watching/reading things that I thought were disgusting but kept going because they had other qualities that I appreciated. Never forget that there's a ton of good media out there waiting for you, you absolutely don't need to expose your brain to disgusting garbage and spend time with things that you find repulsive.

@deadheat @Moon @coldacid @noyoushutthefuckupdad I dunno, on the other hand I think there's definitively some good at getting out of your comfort zone here and there
There's a whole new generation of wusses who didn't grow up on sending each others shock sites and it shows

@coolboymew @deadheat @Moon @coldacid @noyoushutthefuckupdad It's the principle of getting a good, well-rounded education - you learn about different things, thereby actually discovering what you like, what you dislike, and why. But at some point your education is, if not complete, at least sufficiently advanced that you can and even should be more discriminating about what you're willing to devote your time on, and to what extent.
I personally thought spending 7 hours on a pozzed, but well-made and culturally relevant show like Invincible (without paying for it) was ultimately worth it. Spending 70 hours on an ultra-pozzed game like Baldur's Gay 3, that I can't even pirate? Absolutely no way.
