   Still trying to figure that one out.

Most of them aren't even local connection and can be fucked due to app incompatibility in the future and the company going "Lmao, we're shutting it down". In the end all this is doing is data collection on some expensive POS

     because it has a shitty bluetooth remote that mostly doesn't work, so I use the app on my phone.
     
     I did not buy this. It came with my apartment. This is like a $700 ceiling fan

     @lamp @coolboymew @feld @niconiconi At that point I'd legitimately consider the purchase of commercial/industrial fridges, they're literally cheaper.

     the "look inside your fridge" feature seems to rarely work for me
     
     my favorite is that the cameras try to use machine learning to identify what's in your fridge and read labels, etc. It usually gets it very very wrong on the "new items detected" screen or the "shopping list suggestion" thing

     Not only are they cheaper, but they put the compressor on top which makes them more efficient as there isn't a bunch of heat being created underneath that the fridge has to compensate for
