   The Japanese are rightfully pissed, purple haired faggots are disrespecting their culture. But I don't think AI is the answer though. The Anime studios need to blackball any translators that pull that shit. Like make it to where they could never get a job in that field again.

     Japanese is a hard language to learn, and there's not a lot of competition in that market. Translators who gain notable skill at Japanese usually translate legal documents because it is much more lucrative. This leaves the gaming/anime industries with the dregs. If they started blackballing translators like you're suggesting, they'd just wind up with no translators.
     
     Until recently, this problem couldn't be solved. Now it can be, and it's being solved.
