   @lxo That definitely is not the intent of what I was saying, no. For those for whom it’s possible, however, there is an amount of respect inherent in making something simpler if you can. Respect for the time and effort of the people making use of the thing you make.

     I suppose you mean well, it's a desirable direction to head to, but this comes across as ableist and privileged to me
     verbosity is an autistic trait, especially in one's hyperfocus
     besides, being brief requires time, skill, and effort that not everyone can get or afford
     "sorry this is so long, I didn't have time to make it shorter" is a real thing
