   e621 just blocked all of North Carolina due to the PAVE act requiring age verification of users to serve pornography that will come into effect 2024-01-01.

     @degenephilia I think e621 may have jumped the gun a little on blocking all of North Carolina because the bill only affects commercial entities that publish or distribute “harmful material to minors on the internet from a website that contains a substantial portion of such material…”

     As I understand it, e621 is not a commercial entity. Maybe I’m wrong and they have some business profit model I am unaware of, but in any case I can understand why they wish to consult w/ actual legal counsel first
