@enigmatico huh torx isnt proprietary it's the second most common drive in electronics; it doesn't cam and strip like philips

@lamp @enigmatico I think what he means is that Torx is patented. I'm not sure on how it works, but I think there's a company that holds the rights to it and you have to pay them to be able to legally produce screws and bits with the torx shape.

@charliebrownau @lamp @enigmatico I like torx screws. As lamp said, they hold better and don't tend to strip as much as phillips heads do.
The disadvantage is that you need to have all the different bit sizes for the different screw sizes, while a single phillips head driver can fit many screw sizes.
