   @PraxisOfEvil $50k isnt much car these days, and if you are the upper age range for millennials and bought a house for family formation, odds are there is an hour+ commute as part of the deal.
   
   Taxes and insurance many places have seen 150-200% increases and few of the financial pundits seem to want to talk about this.

     I'm so, so happy I never bought into these dumb status symbols other middle class millennials have like dropping $50K on a car, paying $2K for some shoebox apartment in the middle of urban hell, or a clothing brand advertised to me by some schizo rapper.
