@nimda@aura As the database grows some queries could become slower because I didn't bother much with optimizations.
Loading of home timeline and notification list are probably the most expensive operations. They are still pretty fast one my instances but if you notice any performance degradation let me know
@frogzone@nimda@aura Ethereum wallet login doesn't require a blockchain node, only a browser extension. But I'm not a fan of it either anymore, and in Mitra versions 2.0 and newer it is disabled by default. Ethereum payment processor is not used by anyone (and also disabled by default).
You can see the list of instances here: https://mitra.fediverse.observer/list I haven't seen any canadian ones, but IIRC @parker once said that he might be interested in trying Mitra
@nimda@silverpill@aura I don't mind monero or even bitcoin, yes I know it uses a lot of electricity, but yeah, compared to the petrodoller bitcoin is a fecking saint. Ideally a canadian instance would be good but not 100% required. Thanks in advance
@silverpill@nimda@aura I like this mitra thing. Not a fan of etherium though. Like not at all. In fact I despise etherium, are there any servers that don't support etherium?
