   this Mitra instance feels fast. Is it because its written in Rust? Or is it because there is pretty much no load on the server ?

     @aura most of the speediness is probably no load and good ping to L.A. (where the VPS is). The VPS is 4 core, 2GB, nothing special. Mitra also uses actix for the HTTP framework which has really nice performance too: https://www.techempower.com/benchmarks/#hw=ph&test=fortune&section=data-r22

     @nimda @aura As the database grows some queries could become slower because I didn't bother much with optimizations.

     Loading of home timeline and notification list are probably the most expensive operations. They are still pretty fast one my instances but if you notice any performance degradation let me know

     Ethereum wallet login doesn't require a blockchain node, only a browser extension. But I'm not a fan of it either anymore, and in Mitra versions 2.0 and newer it is disabled by default. Ethereum payment processor is not used by anyone (and also disabled by default).

     @nimda @silverpill @aura I don't mind monero or even bitcoin, yes I know it uses a lot of electricity, but yeah, compared to the petrodoller bitcoin is a fecking saint. Ideally a canadian instance would be good but not 100% required. Thanks in advance

     @silverpill @nimda @aura I like this mitra thing. Not a fan of etherium though. Like not at all. In fact I despise etherium, are there any servers that don't support etherium?
