Then release it for xbox and PS, but make a super enhanced port for Switch with the optional Mario 64 DS content so the Nintendo platform has the more content and get to entirely flex on the other consoles
But nope. Seems like a missed opportunity to me -

No one is buying a Nintendo Switch to play Minish Cap, their first party Switch lineup is more than enough to carry the Switch

I love the fact that extremely concentrated autism is bringing Nintendo games to other platforms and there is literally nothing they can do about it.

tbh the decompiler lads probably have a much better handle on old Nintendo engines than anyone currently on Nintendo payroll.
Even if original staff and codebases are still around, it's been a long time.
