     @Tamamo That crowd really messed up by trying to use they and them, because those are words that are supposed to be used in reference to a collection. The fundamentals of English is being screwed up as a result. My guess is they co-opted it because made up pronouns like xi and xer didn't worm its way into regular syntax like the existing words they and them.

     @Vidmastereon That's the thing. "It" is for singular ambiguity. Where did "they/them" come from? You're one person, and in our language, we have an understanding of a male and female human as the conversant, and usually non-humans are referred to as it unless we know the sex of the "it" such as a pet dog. :hinata_acid:

     In system shock (even the remake) SHODAN is referred to as it
     In star rail pom pom and a ghost named cirrus is awkwardly referred to as they when it would suffice
     Singular they abuse is a great way of identifying enemies through their speech alone

     Is the 'they' referring to sensei or the group as a whole? Its just such a fucking awful use of the word.
     Like Eon said, just put a goddamn gender select in the options and be done with it.
