I also got a new color of duck egg from the yard this year from christmas. I've never had any ducks that lay bluish eggs before, but today I found one that must have come from this black and white duck that was born over the summer. Not really even sure what breeds of duck lay blue eggs. I have chickens that do but all my duck eggs are white except one who lays a kind of cream to tan egg. The only male was a pekin and I thought the mother was a mallard although maybe my mutt duck snuck a few eggs into her nest because this one looks more like her than the one who raised her.
