Shit like this is why I'm getting less and less interested in politics. Words and phrases just become posterboards for whatever context people want to slap on it, or you get instances like this where stuff is just made up out of thin air and given sacred cow status based on some ephemeral idea of what it should mean, but can't really be entirely explained. It just turns into a game of attaching all sorts of meanings to shit that didn't have it before and doing the motte and bailey dance when there's disagreement on what something actually is.

@mrsaturday I've been saying this for a while, queer means nothing whatsoever, anyone can appropriate it for no reasons and doesn't have to stick to anything and you aren't allowed to call it out
I've seen some video or tweet of someone going mask off about it recently, it really is nothing but political subversion
