Well, i can shit on pleroma too if i want to. Pleroma-fe never shows if you're banned by a person, doesn't separate posts and posts+replies, doesn't have a media gallery, no follower migration (i'm told the api is there but the frontend doesn't use it), no option to specify the language of the post, no option to filter posts by language, and its emoji picker is so terrible i literally use lorsh to pick them 😀
But it's still a good fedi software and worth using 🤷♀️

thedesk is written for masto/misskey so it has many problems with pleroma. I fixed the most annoying ones and now it's been rewritten in typescript and I can't be fucked adapting my patches. So maybe many of these things have been fixed upstream by now.
I'd rather be working on chatlib. -
