     I think you should pay a bit more attention to the original statement that this is always more complicated.

     You won't be able to "just stop selling them weapons" or "just sanction them"
     There are layered and interlocking reasons why the US inherited the British double dealing on giving Palestine to two different parties at the end of WW-2, and why this hasn't been solved yet, and why the alternate futures for that region all look bad.

     @mloxton @aral And we also should acknowledge that the people saying what one of their positions are with respect to tolerating it are pretty much admitting they know nothing about the intricacies and difficulties of international diplomacy. I don't either, but at least I acknowledge that it's complicated, and messy and not a simple thing to do.

     @ariaflame @mloxton @aral It's not complicated at all. US stops supplying weapons to Israel, they can't genocide as much. Beyond this is just layers of abstraction which are designed to obfuscate the issue.

     The one who just tolerates it, of course!

     That guy can be influenced, and I can incrementally improve my options by selecting better and better people until I get the person who absolutely doesn't tolerate genocide. Sitting the election out, or putting other people off voting for the lesser of two evils, is what keeps getting us the worse option, and offering us increasingly worse alternatives.

     We should stop doing that, maybe.
