Trying out these USB-C adapter cables for older Laptops. So far it works as advertised but now I can use a portable power brick.
This might be the best option for older computers.

@murph This is my first one. So far it seems to work perfectly. All my 60w USB-C devices will power on the laptop.

OMG.
The USB ports are fine. I just had to go into Windows 10 that was installed and "BLESS" the USB drive to boot.
That's right. It's no longer up to your BIOS but up to Microsoft to handle USB Booting...
