     Yep, with a few exceptions like this platform, when a service is free, you are the product.
     I believe that ISP's provided by public institutions and for an example, cloud services run by an entity like the United States Postal Sevice are fundamental protections for our future civil liberties.
     These goals are not unachievable and could be effectively run and funded by a fraction of the money we light on fire when spending on our supposed defense.

     I'm by no means an authority on the matter, but I've heard drug dealers also give prospective and current customers "free samples" in order to hook them on new merchandise.
     And by "drug dealers," I also include pharma corps.
