  New measurements show that about 10% of the aerosol particles in the stratosphere contain aluminium and other metals that originated from satellite re-entry, but their environmental impacts are not well understood. Next month our Panel on Potentially Environmentally Detrimental Activities in Space (PEDAS) will be represented at the workshop to explore this issue at the ESA’s ESTEC facility.
