     I do agree, on a long term basis, I plan to leave the US and maintain citizen ship for work (the us is still a great place to make money)

     @Tony @Terry @mja I disagree with this take: the mask is already off. The 2020 election was blatantly stolen. Making it more blatant will not do anything that hasn't already been done. Political solutions don't exist anymore, and this is obvious to anyone who isn't lying.
     
     I would like very much for things to not worsen in the US beyond that. I've said more than once here: even now, are *still* nonviolent solutions (exiting the country, boycotting US companies, etc.)
     
     That said actions that worsen things are much worse than "openly stealing a second election." Another stolen election will not change the minds of anyone.

     @Terry imho, it seems pretty obviously a play on the simple fact that, as much as many people hate trump, probably the majority, elections in america are never won by good policies, its a popularity contenst. and all publicity is good publicity they say. well, lets be entirely honest here, trump is the ONLY real candidate here, and people are sick of biden. this "oh but atleast its not trump" shit wont work here because thats always the fuckign reason the flip back and forth so much is people see the shit of one side and just vote the other without thinking. anyways, but yeah, so biden was this administration and awful so cant be him, most these candidates people barely know, they dont have that tv face, the charm, the dont have any positions or political bullshitting ability, they dont have that publicity or notoriety or are particularly memorable. with those in power largely turned against trump its no wonder they're triyng the disqualification route, yes people hate him, but theres no other rea candidates in how candidates get voted upon here. he'd win by default.
     personally i think the insurrection claim is fucking absurd but wtv thats an irrelevant detail all things considered, its political dirty plays, "validness" does not matter here

     @Tony @Terry @mja I see no reason to maintain US citizenship as an expat, but that is due to my line of work.
     
     I'm not convinced of my time frame for exiting, but I'd be very surprised if the US was recognizable as a democracy in 20 years. I would absolutely accelerate an exit if I found myself having a wife or kids, I do not want to subject a child to having to grow up as an American.
