   After spending nearly an hour trying to get DLNA or Plex working, I have decided that the only reliable way to make video appear on a TV screen is to record it to a VHS tape

     I've actually got more laserdiscs in my bedroom than VHS tapes but they're on thin fucking ice

     I got it working. I just had to install a different video player and set up a server on a laptop. Simple. If I'd just used VHS the episode would be over by now.
