@skylar @coolboymew I made an edit with a pepper but God doesnt want me to send it, it doesnt recognize it as a proper format
- cool_boy_mew likes this.
-
@meso @skylar you have to export it
-
@coolboymew @meso @skylar Gotta love gimp after something like version 2.6 :D
-
@lanodan @meso @skylar it's confusing, I always accidentally go to save it instead of export
-
@lanodan @coolboymew @skylar gimp has fallen. But the anime girl has RISEN. Yes...
-
@coolboymew @meso @skylar Same, kind of thing where if I'd care about gimp I would have patched it (at least locally) at some point.
PNG/JPEG in, PNG/JPEG out.
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar i was taught at age 6 to export and i remember this word of advice to this day
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar I know, but there's just something about the interface that shouldn't be like that, I actually had the same struggle with k3b, things being not where you should expect them
-
@hj @lanodan @meso @skylar "Tools" is not where the main function of the program should, I'd expect that of the first menu
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @meso @skylar where DO you expect them?
I don't expect things, last time i used a burning software was in 2009 or so, and it was different from the time i used some other one in 2003
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar k3b is made by delusional people. Try Nero
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar yeah, I had to get into Windows and use imgburn to actually get those TG16 CD game burning properly
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar you can use Nero on Linux, as long as it's like 6
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar oh really?
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar its also very portable
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar it had a linux version and it works alright there was some issue that was easily solvable
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar is it free or imma going to go to weird sites to get it?
Also it's probably mega old and I won't be able to run it
Unless you mean running ver 6 on Wine
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar archive.org, ver 6 has native Linux, and it works fine, it's totally portable just a single executable. They don't make them like they used to
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar
>Portable
>Single executable
>Old but should still work
>Linux
Wow, how
The only Linux program like this I ever saw was Ship of Harkinian
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar thanks a lot
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar CC @dushman @nishi they know more
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar >Wow, how
No soydevs
-
@coolboymew @lanodan @skylar though iirc it wasn't a /single/ executable but it was one tiny folder of stuff
-
@meso @lanodan @skylar still, that's rare
There's a reason people call shit open sores
>Have distro
>Have to rely on package manager
>Debian, so you're late on some updates
>No you can't compile x, because you don't have x and x, which aren't available on your package manager and upgrading them manually may break everything
So basically anything unmaintained immediately is not compilable anymore (unless you really know your shit. I know people on Discord somehow were able to compile the gigaleak Nintendo shit but I have no idea how they managed that)
Or flatpaks which takes 3 billion years to install and apparently keeps breaking anyways?
-
@coolboymew @meso @skylar Debian -specially stable- is just the worst you could pick if you ever want to use third-party applications, it's almost OpenBSD level of "screw anything not in our repos".
-
@lanodan @meso @skylar but it's sooooooo stable. In my 6+ years of MX Linux I have yet to have the distro shit itself during an update
