@EU_Commission Jews fleeing Nazi Germany were turned away by countries in Europe and elsewhere. Today, we do the same thing to people fleeing wars and persecution in the Middle East. Does your pledge include welcoming refugees instead of enacting hostile policies not unlike the ones we had during WWII that compounded the suffering and devastation of victims? (Policies which, in some European countries, even criminalise people who aid refugees?)
On #HolocaustRemembranceDay, we remember the millions of victims of the Nazi regime during WWII.
The loss of life in the Holocaust is unfathomable and a haunting reminder of the devastation caused by antisemitism and intolerance.
In the face of rising antisemitism, revisionism and conspiracy theories, we must remain vigilant to counter disinformation and educate future generations about these atrocities.
#WeRemember and pledge to fight hatred and discrimination in all its forms in the EU.
