@arstechnica Sometimes it's truly amazing just how much privacy and personal security is being given up in the name of supposedly fighting terrorism and the like -- and how little it actually does for those things anyway. I have more than a small suspicion that much of this has nothing to do with fighting criminal activities at all in fact. They sure managed to fail to catch a large-scale terrorist attempt to take over the government recently.
This is a small victory, but I hope it lasts.
