   @sapphire They really got these niggers in a flytrap over at apple, man.

   It’s like a whole creator class of people making video and music have come to expect that you can ONLY work on macs, so they don’t have any point of reference as to what even performs or not. Their only point of reference is their 3-5 year old mac already, so everything looks good.

   Single core performance seems adequate for a family computer, but this guy wants to use it in his office to render video. He doesn’t get why it’s not good.

   I’m just curious as to where it would stack up against a similar build. For $600 it seems fairly powerful, but far from a do-all unit.

     @WashedOutGundamPilot @sapphire A reminder that since at least a couple weeks ago, apple implemented(admited) automatic scanning and phoning home of all the pictures you have on your mac or iphone

     @CleverMoniker @sapphire I thought they admitted to just the stuff uploaded into their apps? They paused the rollout until fervor died down, and everyone forgot all about it.

     The one I saw a while back was that people were seeing a network connection just from previewing things in the file explorer - can’t wait for them to start reporting the spicy memes

     It infuriates me that I still can’t just find a damn OS that works without requiring hours of configuration though. Shockingly, Mac, mediocre as it is, has been the least irritating than everything else I have - which says how shitty everything else is
