Stop me if you heard this one before but I’ve come to notice a subgenre of Slice of Life: The Everyday.
Blissful and often humorous stories about nonsensical things. Gag or serene manga/anime. No overarching plot. Location can be anything and is eventually just as important as the characters themselves, becoming an object of attachment. May deal with everyday-philosophy like family and what life “actually is all about” but this is not a requirement. May also be a gag-manga solely. The point is to portray an “everyday” connected to a location.
Examples: Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō, Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru, Uchōten Kazoku, Night Is Short, Walk on Girl.
