@arstechnica I think an even more meaningful thing to look into would be the sheer amount of ENERGY in a storm. Even if you could nuke it, that doesn't mean the energy simply dissipates. Even assuming it's not a case where it would actually add to it -- even assuming it's subtractive somehow -- there is an incredible amount of energy in even a small storm. In many cases -- such as hurricanes -- I be willing to bet that the total force is far more than even that of a nuclear bomb.
