     I find myself too distractable for anime, but group watching (syncplay) is very good for correcting this; I can't watch 20 seconds and pause for 20 minutes, so I actually get through it at a reasonable pace.
     I refuse to watch anything currently airing though, because it's a hassle, I'd rather just clean up a minimum of one season per sitting. Manga being one chapter at a time doesn't bother me as much, somehow.

     For me it's the time investment. An episode is 20 minutes, in that much time I can be several chapters in

     @Leaflord An episode usually covers several chapters anyway. Like 2 episodes per vol or so
